On Sunday, June 5th, we will join hundreds
of communities worldwide in celebrating life
as part of the 24rd annual National Cancer
Survivors Day®. A reception will be held
from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Northeast Louisiana
Cancer Institute in Monroe. Cancer patients,
family, friends and healthcare providers
are invited.
One of the ways to honor those you love for
their strength and courage in facing cancer
is the “Memory/Survivor Wall.” The panels will have a permanent home at
the Institute. The panels contain photos
and names of cancer patients honored by someone
who makes a donation ($25 or more) to the
Cancer Foundation League in their name. Donations
can be made by check or credit card. Forms must be submitted by May 20th, 2011. The panels will be displayed at the June
5th reception.
The donation you make to the Cancer Foundation
League will help cancer patients throughout
Northeast Louisiana with assistance in obtaining
medication, help with transportation to/from
treatment, liquid supplements, lodging during
treatment, and many other expenses that mount
as a result of their cancer diagnosis and
treatment.
