Anyone who has experienced cancer – and most people have, either first-hand or through the illness of a parent, a sibling, a child, or a dear friend – knows the anguish that a diagnosis of cancer can cause. But perhaps most people are not aware of the financial ramifications of such a diagnosis, particularly for the head of a family, whose first question may well be, “Will I be able to continue to work?”
All money raised stays here in Northeast Louisiana to help patients and their families. There is NO administrative cost. The League pays for medication, medical supplies, transportation to treatment, lodging during treatment, nutritional supplements and some household expenses. The members of the League deliver Christmas baskets to cancer patients throughout Northeast Louisiana each year.
Since beginning in 2002, the League has now spent over $1,800,000.00 helping over 4,800 individual cancer patients from throughout Northeast Louisiana.
Please consider the Cancer Foundation League for your next charitable donation.
